Mad Alvar
Currently in Barcelona.
Tattoo artist, painter and contemporary muralist.
Currently he also works with brutalist sculptural pottery.
All his works are built in large formats.
He defines himself as an artist of bad habits, but of beautiful habits.
In his work, the process prevails, free and sincere, the result of spontaneity and thoughtless gesture. The artist moves away from academic preciousness and embraces error and accident as natural creative engines that allow conclusions to be drawn that question beauty, proportion, harmony and extol the excessive, the primal and the crudeness of ugliness.
