Rebeka Elizegi

Rebeka Elizegi is a visual artist and graphic designer graduated from the Massana School of Art and Design in Barcelona.

Collage is the artistic medium he uses to develop his small, medium and large-format pieces, always applying the classic manual collage technique from the exploration of diverse materials.

The female figure occupies an important place in her work, although she also focuses on topics such as gender diversity and other social issues. Images of bodies are also a constant in his work; the body understood as a space that oppresses, that marks and stigmatizes by color, age or gender, that is so often a reason for submission, and that he tries to liberate through his compositions.

In parallel with the exhibitions, which have a more artistic and personal character, his collages have also illustrated book and magazine covers, as well as records and posters, and have been part of decoration projects. She has published several illustrated books using the collage technique and is the author of the books Collage Terapia and Collage signed by Mujeres (Promopress Editions) and Collage Creativo (Alma Editorial).

He has worked for clients such as Alma – Obra Social de La Caixa, Museo San Telmo, Gran Meliá Hoteles, Proyecto Mut, Museo Nacional Thyssen-Bornemisza, km kulturunea, Joven Dolores or Jah Chango and in the press he has collaborated with the newspapers La Vanguardia, Der Spiegel and Le Monde Diplomatique.

His work has been exhibited in Barcelona, ​​Madrid, Donostia, Los Angeles, Warsaw and Berlin, and his work has been shown in numerous publications specialized in art and collage.

He is a member of the visual artists associations MAV, BNM and VEGAP. In 2022 she received the “Outstanding Partner of the Year” award from the national association of women artists Blanco, Negro y Magenta.
