Brosmind

Juan and Alejandro Mingarro, born in Spain in 1978 and 1981. We are brothers, friends, enemies, illustrators, artists, amateur technology designers, video enthusiasts, snack lovers, lecturers, occasional musicians.

In 2007 we founded our studio in Barcelona where we work with all the aforementioned disciplines through commissions, personal projects and exhibitions. Our work has been published, exhibited and awarded all over the world.
For us, creating such illustrations involves augmenting a set of stories around each character, finding something unique and special to them, and penalty that tempers every detail until the characters feel ready to walk, run, or jump off the page!

Always inspired by the characters they inhabit, our variety of universes from being very simple to very intricate. We believe that they are the essential telling of a story and that is why we approach our work on them with great curiosity and consideration.

Yes! We also love to explore other mediums and formats that illustrate and break the boundary between the auditorium and our art is always exciting! That is why interaction, installation, and sculpture are very important to us.

Somehow it was always meant to be! Growing up as siblings, our creative partnership began at a young age. We spend our childhood in Spain drawing comedians, building vehicles for our toys, and shooting action videos on our parents' camcorder. A few years after graduating from the Elisava School of Design, we joined forces again when we founded Brosmind.
