Helena Pallarés

Zaragoza 1985

Artist and illustrator based in Paris.

With a degree in Graphic Design and Fine Arts, since 2012 she has been developing most of her professional career in the field of illustration, especially in the international press, working for major media such as the Washington Post, Libération or Glamour. At the same time, she collaborates in numerous projects related to culture, music or fashion, always from a personal style that mixes illustration with analogue and digital collage.
For two years he has focused his work on the more manual aspect of the collage technique, focusing his work on the personal production of plastic work. His conceptual collages are inspired by surrealist art, Russian constructivism and jazz aesthetics of the 50s and 60s and are created with paper as the only working tool. Among his recurring themes are the passage of time, the figure of women, portraiture, music and childhood.
